- Value can be intrinsic
- Worth can be cost
- Happiness lies in the sweet spot between both
If you’re not sure what your value is, you may not know what you bring to the table in business, in life, at home. If you’re not sure what you’re worth, you may accept less than what you deserve in life.
These two words are often used interchangeably, and the harm is not in that, or which word you prefer. The danger comes from confusing what your self brings to the table, which has value or worth, vs. what an employer is willing to pay you, or the relationship you’re willing to settle for, which is less valuable or worthwhile.
As How to GYST mentions numerous times, you can Marie Kondo the heck out of your house, and stumble as you are trying to toss things that cost you money. But you can be positive straight away that you want to keep something that was free because it has worth, value, meaning to you.
Be sure as you go through life you know your value and worth and accept nothing less than what you deserve in return.
